ARTIST'S STATEMENT
When I was 10 years old, you could find me in my dad's work shop painting on scrap pieces of wood with ordinary house paint. From there I found it much easier to use artist paint and canvas. I was self taught with the help of art books. As an adult, I attend weekly art classes and workshops. I paint in the school of realism enjoying the visual effects of light and the way it reflects and highlights objects and creates colorful shadows. Some of my paintings tell a story, provoking thought and emotion. I honestly don't understand why I love to paint and create, I just do.
