FACE PAINTING
Greenville Art Guild Fundraiser-Darke County Fair
Shawnee Prairie Nature Preserve

Greenville Art Guild held a fundraiser at the Darke County Fair in the Fine Art Building: dates were August 15 through 22, 2008. It was a huge success in many ways. We received many thrilled remarks and thank yous from the public. There were all ages; children through adults, men and woman, arms or ankles. We had designs for the public to pick from, but also our goal was to please. Some customers explained what design they wanted and others draw their own design. We had one customer, a little girl, who came everyday to get her face painted. REO Speedwagon played at the fair and before the concert people came to be painted for the concert.
The project brought in a total of $335.00; to see the children's faces light up was priceless. Thanks to Greenville Art Guild members for all their valuable time and creativity in making this project a success: Jan Boyer, Ashley Bubb, Sandy Cable-Barringer, Selena Burk, Cherie Frost and Marilyn Banks. A deeply appreciation goes to Jan Boyer and Sandy Cable-Barringer for creating the unique designs.
Greenville Art Guild are so grateful to Nancy Foureman for working with us on this project and allowing the guild to use the art building at the Darke County Fair. Without Nancy's help it would not had been possible to make this project a success.
Members of the Greenville Art Guild will be painting faces at the Shawnee Prairie Nature Preserve during the Greenville Art Guild art show.

Anyone interested in participating in the fun and wonderful opportunity to raise public awareness of the Greenville Art Guild is more than welcome.

1. Greenville Art Guild will furnish safe, nontoxic paint. There will be brushes provided or      you can bring your own: no. 4 and no. 2 rounds are great.
2. Every artist will make his/her designs on a display board. Remember when selecting          your designs, have both boys and girls. Small children need simple designs. The cost of       a design is $1.00.
3. If you have only a half an hour to paint that would be great and if you have more time       that would be wonderful.

    Any questions please contact:

If you have any ideas for future fund raising projects please contact Jan Boyer.
Hope to see you at Prairie Days with a paint brush in-hand and ready to paint the little  faces and to give support to the Greenville Art Guild.

Greenville Art Guild wants three people in the tent to paint faces, to give breaks, and to make sure we do not lose any customers.
